Pop-up Covid Testing site at St. Patrick CES, November 12

St. Patrick CES continues to work with York Region Public Health, Ontario Health and the York Catholic District School Board to contain the outbreak of COVID-19 at our school. To support this work and the safe return to school, our school will be hosting a pop-up COVID-19 Testing Clinic for our school community. Families and staff from Schomberg PS will also be invited to help contain community spread.

The testing clinic will take place on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 2 – 6 p.m. It is recommended that individuals with no known exposure and no COVID-19 symptoms attend the clinic from 2 – 4:45 p.m. and individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 or close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case (those who received a dismissal notice) attend the clinic from 5 – 6 p.m.

Upon arrival, individuals should park in the lot adjacent to the school. Please enter the testing clinic through the front doors of the school facing Western Avenue and exit through the Gymnasium doors. Please remember to wear your masks, practice physical distancing and refrain from congregating at the school if you attend the testing clinic on Friday.

Your participation in this testing clinic is highly recommended. To support this testing clinic our school will pivot to asynchronous learning Friday afternoon, from 1 pm to the end of the day, to allow time for staff and families to attend. Asynchronous learning Friday afternoon means teachers will post self-directed work in their virtual classrooms.

Please be assured that following this pop-up testing clinic, it is not a vaccination site. Our school will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized again to ensure it is ready for our planned reopening on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Please see the attached letter from York Region Public Health that contains details about the testing clinic, including the types of tests offered, how families can prepare, what you need to bring, etc.
