Please review the following updates, reminders, and resources for the upcoming week.
👔 Dress Code Survey Results
Thank you to all the families who participated in our recent Dress Code Survey! We appreciate your engagement and feedback in shaping our school environment, we will continue to be a standardized dress school. As a reminder, our school community will have the opportunity to participate in the next uniform survey in 5 years.
🚌 Student Transportation – Inclement Weather Service Areas
As we head into the winter months, please review this important reminder from Student Transportation Services of York Region (STSYR) regarding school bus cancellations.
For the 2026–27 school year, STSYR is continuing its pilot program dividing York Region into two weather-related Service Areas:

Georgina Service Area: Includes Georgina and communities north of and including Ravenshoe Road.

South Service Area: Includes communities south of Ravenshoe Road (East Gwillimbury, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Newmarket, Aurora, King, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and Markham).
What This Means for Families:

If a Service Area is cancelled, all school bus runs and stops located within that area will not operate.

Please be aware of both the Service Area of your child’s school and your child’s specific bus stop. If either Service Area is cancelled, transportation may be affected.

Please monitor STSYR’s daily transportation cancellation announcements during inclement weather and plan accordingly.
📑 Progress Report Card Distribution

Every student will bring home a paper copy of their Progress Report Card.

Report cards will also be accessible online via the Parent Portal.

We encourage families to review feedback together, celebrate achievements, and set goals for continued growth!

Our booking schedule is now active! Families are invited to log in to School-Day to select an interview slot with your child’s teacher to discuss progress and growth.

💉🏫 YRPH Vaccination Clinic

York Region Public Health (YRPH) will be hosting the clinic on-site.
| Free Parent EQAO Webinar – Fall 2026 | |
| Join EQAO for a live webinar about how EQAO assess students’ writing skills at key stages of their education. EQAO staff will discuss writing prompts and questions from the reading component of the primary- and junior-division assessments. Participants will hear how these prompts and questions help assess the skills students are learning in class. EQAO staff will also highlight valuable insights and resources that can help parents and guardians support their child’s learning.

🔴 Red Wednesday – November 18, 2026
On Wednesday, November 18, our school community will observe Red Wednesday—a day of prayer, awareness, and solidarity with persecuted Christians around the world.

What to Wear: Students and staff are invited to wear red on November 18.
