With the colder weather here, please ensure that your child is dressed properly for outdoor recess (waterproof boots, hats, mittens/gloves, warm coat, snow pants, etc.). A change of clothing and extra socks and
mittens/gloves are a good idea. Indoor shoes are a must for all students, JK to grade 8 as students should not be entering their classrooms with wet boots or shoes – this creates a safety issue when the classroom floors become slippery from wet boots/shoes. As the weather fluctuates throughout the day, students should come to school prepared to go outside at any of our recesses. This year our temperature threshold has been set to -20 degrees Celsius (including windchill), so we will be going
outside for part or all of recess if the temperature is warmer than -20 degrees Celsius.
