Shrove Tuesday

The day before Ash Wednesday, Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras, is also typically referred to as Pancake Tuesday.  On this day, Catholics around the world get rid of ‘fatty foods’ around  the house and any indulgences before the beginning of Lent.

Each student at SPS will receive complimentary, nut-free pancakes as a morning snack on Tuesday, February 13th, made by our CSC members.  The ingredients of the pancakes are listed below:

PC Original Extra-Fluffy Pancake And Waffle Mix:  Ingredients: enriched wheat flour, sugars (sugar, dextrose), yellow cornflour, vegetable oil, dried egg yolk (contains sodium aluminum silicate), baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, skim milk powder, monocalcium phosphate, salt, potassium chloride, dried egg-white(contains sodium lauryl sulfate). CONTAINS:  MILK, WHEAT, EGGS

If you do NOT wish your child to receive the pancakes, please inform your child’s teacher or call the office by Monday, February 12.

Thank you to the Visconti Family of Nobleton No Frills & Kurt & Donni Geiser of Foodland Schomberg for donating funds to cover the cost of the pancakes and syrup.
